Hello Alex, Congratulations on your new phone.
I wanted to buy a 512GB but simply could not find one in my local area which consists of about 8 Apple store locations, if you can believe that. All any of them had, today at least, were 256GB and 1TB models; so I just went with the higher capacity model. I am seriously looking forward to upgrading from my beloved 8 Plus which has served me so very well. Again, congratulations and I look forward to your feedback on your setup experience..
