Hello, Looking through apple's on-line resources, usb and flash card readers can be connected via the camera kit, and those that may require more power need the camera kit 3. So this kit provides connectivity to either lightening ports, or usb 3 in the cases of recent iphones and ipads.
Apples guidelines say that these kits can facilitate usb or external drives, and or, flash drives. What concerns me, is that although mention is made of the ability to view photo file types, no mention is made of accessing audio files. is there a connector either third partyy or via apple, connector that will allow me to access audio books on a USB device, or CF card reader connected to an iphone 12, or ipad with a usb 3 port?
