Well, I do have an old wired headphone band, but that one does slip down quite a bit. I didn't know if that was normal with these things, or maybe just how that one behaves. I was also deciding if I want yet another thing that needs to be charged, but since it isn't expensive, I will probably just try it. As far as being warm, we live in Florida, so yes, our summers are hot, to say the least, but we do keep our house fairly cool at night.
Thanks for the feedback. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com <viphone@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of Sieghard Weitzel Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2023 6:19 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Have you Gone Wireless, Yet? Have you ever worn a headband, it's very much like that and I certainly never had mine slip down over my face even after using it for 3 years. If you live in a rather warm place it may feel warm, though, I for example don't use mine a lot in the summer when it can get hot here, but most of the year it's not a problem. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com <viphone@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of paekstr...@gmail.com Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2023 1:14 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Have you Gone Wireless, Yet? Hi Mark, I am considering getting this and have a couple of questions. Does it slide around on your head easily? I am asking because I wouldn't want it sliding down over my eyes like a sleep mask as I don't like anything on my face. Also, how wide is the band? I am used to wearing wired or wireless ear buds, and I am not sure how constricting this would feel on my head. I may just try it out and see. Hello All, Okay, I received the second headband Bluetooth headset, earlier today, and I absolutely love them. The fit is amazing, the micro-fiber material from which they are made is stretchable and the quality of the hardware is far superior than the first set I tried. Unlike the first set, which I returned, this new set is USBC compatible. I agree with one of the 44000 reviewers who stated that this brand must be the original company from which all of the knock-offs, sprang. Hello Sieghard and Everyone, Sieghard, I ordered the Bluetooth set of the wireless sleep headband you mentioned and for which you provided a link. I could not use the link you provided to order the set but copied the brand name and found what I believe to be a similar set from a company. The pair I purchased costs $16, American, $12 after a $4 discount. The pair I ordered had about 300 Amazon reviews. One of the features that people like is the fact that they fit snuggly around the head. While I liked the sound of the earphones, the band was just too tight for comfort. (I guess I have a big head, eh?) (smile). So, I returned them and ordered a mainstream brand, one that is marked as Amazon Choice with over 44000 reviews at 4.3 out of 5 stars. They should be here on Tuesday. The design is a little bit different but the concept is the same. Once I find a pair that I like, I will post a link to the group, in this thread. But if you are looking for a good quality Bluetooth headphoens / ear pods to ware at night, Check out the bose sleep pods, I've not used them myself but tey are meant for use in situations like you are speaking of here, and I can say from years of constant usage, Bose make great audio headphones etc. -----Original Message----- From: mailto:vipho...@googlegroups.com <mailto:vipho...@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of M. Taylor Sent: Sunday, 8 January 2023 6:44 pm To: mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com Cc: mailto:vipho...@googlegroups.com Subject: Have you Gone Wireless, Yet? Hello All, I have long been a fan of Apple wired Ear Pods. I had to have my original beloved 8 Plus replaced, about a month prior to its warranty expiration because the audio function of the Lightening port went bad. For the last 6-months or so, perhaps longer, while the Lightening port on my replacement 8 Plus still functioned as expected, it lost the ability to retain a cable, unassisted. This is to say, when I hold the phone in portrait mode, perpendicular to the ground, any attached cable will fall out. I am certain that I was the blame for this as I used to frequently roll onto the phone, when sleeping; very often tangling the cable with tension for hours at a time. (How's that for too much information? (smile)). My point, I am determined not to ruin the Lightening port on my 14. With that in mind, I am doing my best to wing myself from the wired Ear Pods in favor of Apple Air Pods. Even though I like Air Pods and they are definitely more convenient to use than the wired alternative, I still find myself reaching for the wired pair, more than anything else. I was just wondering how many of you have gone completely wireless having all but abandoned the wired Ear Pods? It is interesting because when I go to Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc. I always see wired Ear Pods, with either the Lightening or audio connector, readily available. All replies appreciated.
