Hi, Rena.
You will need to clear the search field by swiping to and double tapping
the clear text button. Once you do that, you can conduct another search
as before.
As far as I know, there is no history of previously searched for
addresses when using the search field. However, you can add those
addresses to your favorites so you can view them again.
You have the option to add every address you view as a favorite. This
way you can review the places you've looked at.

Just to clarify, you can type or dictate the address once that search
field is activated. I've had good luck with both methods.
