Hi, Mine is strange. When my phone is unlocked, it will announce muted or unmuted as it should. When I lock it and press the side switch, then it says whatever it was on before I locked the phone. So, if my phone was on muted, the phone will say muted even when I flick the switch up. When I unlock it again, all is well.
