If it’s the same one that I think it is; there is a button on the right hand side that you hold in for about 10 seconds. The only way that you can tell if it is on or not is to have it paired with your iPhone with Voiceover turned on and when you hit a key; you’ll hear your phone speak! Hope that helps some. I don’t really know much about it; my husband is the one who uses it once in a while!
