I never bother with the notifications tab. When the initial list of searchable items comes up I double tap on the backnav IOS button and with my finger in about the middle of the screen I’ll find the info that the email I got was referring to. I forget if this is automatic, or if I set it up in Settings, but usually I go into Nextdoor when I get an email about that whoever I am following posted something.
