And this sort of seamless switching is what I would absolutely expect from any Apple Airpods because according to Apple they are the best and m ost advanced Bluetooth headphones ever and yet this works with my Plantronics Voyager and apparently it still does not work with Airpods after how many years now?

Touch the screen of my iPhone and hear VoiceOver audio feedback through the Airpods. That's all, nothing more. As you may recall, I enjoyed such a scenario for a few years a good while back, via a third-party Bluetooth headset until Apple, in its infinite wisdom, broke the feature.
