I understood that the idea is you cannot use the watch while wet, which is why 
you have to use the water lock plus it prevents damage to watch. Drying it off 
before turning off water lock is important. I'll be surprised if that is any 
different in the 9. No one knows what the redesign for the x or 10 will be at 
this stage.
