You nmay want to try Good Maps Outdoors, of course you would have to use some sort of headset which would allow you to hear the instructions from the GPS yet also it should not block a lot of surrounding sounds like traffic. I find the wired Apple Earpods work well for me because I can just use the right side and they don’t block out much noise. I usually have my phone in a belt holster which allows me to easily pull it out if I have to interact with it.
