I just downloaded a book on the iPad Mini 6 from Bookshare and it took well less than 1 minute to say download complete. I checked and it was available and also on my iPhone.

When I set up Voice Dream Reader and elected to use iCloud, I was frankly shocked at how smoothly that went. My phone is the 13 pro. I have quite a few long audio books in mP3. The longest is Barbara Streisand's tome that at normal speed I think is over 40 hours. My entire library transferred and became available in a little less than an hour. I have not added a book from Bookshare on the iPad since, but I have added a couple on the iPhone and they were available almost immediately. Who knows what is ultimately responsible for this. It could be a range of things, like wi-Fi speed, device resources, and of course, the mood of the various Gremlins that like to interfere at times. 😊 I know this doesn't help.
