Therein lies the limits of open air, or bone conduction headsets; if
you want to block out sound from around you, you have to use
headphones that cover your ears. If you have lots of money to spend
on headphones, the Apple Airpods Max are fabulous! But, I suspect still over
$500.
There are lots of over the ear headphones that have noise cancelation
at lower prices.

new Openfit headphones and my only disappointment is that you can only
adjust the volume through your phone, as the phone limits how loud it
can be turned to protect your hearing, but when my husband has a noisy

said that, for everyday use, the volume is fine.

I’ve been recovering from the water damage incurred last week’s deluge
so am just now seeing this thread which I think has been resolved.
1.
You can only adjust the Open Fit volume control using the phone volume
buttons.
2.
The Open Fit headset is not bone conducting so do not try to place the
speakers in front of your ears. Instead, each earpiece is worn so
that the speaker is located just above your ear canal.

Mark Taylor is the one who has the OpenFit. I have the OpenRun and
OpenComm headphones.
I do not know how the OpenFit work. Have you tried tapping the volume
