I have never had to enter a password to update an app.

After doing some research into this, I found out a couple of things.

For one person, they turned off screen time in settings, and this allowed them to then download app updates without having to enter their password.

I do not know if this setting is still there since I do not own an iPhone SE, but one person reported that going to settings, Touch ID, and turn off iTunes and Apps fixed their issue with updating apps.

I do not know if it will apply in your circumstance, but the biggest cause to this that I could find is when people had apps on their phone that was downloaded with multiple Apple IDs.

Wish I could have found a definite fix, but hopefully one of the above will help your issue.

Hi All,

Running iOS 17.4.1 on an SE2022 iphone.  I went to the App Store to check for updates and found that I had 16 updates available.  How can I set-up my phone so that I don't have to insert my password for updating apps?  I had to insert my password 4 different times to update these 16 items.  All input is greatly appreciated.  Thanks much.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.  Go Dodgers!
