I have not had any issues listening to NFL games on SiriusXM. Maybe you are thinking of TuneIn? The best way of navigating and using the SiriusXM app is adding any channels or shows to your library. This is basically like your favorites. That is what I do. Then, I just go to the library tab, choose what I want to listen to and double tap it.
