I looked it up, and your new phone has a uspc to lightening cable. However,
you can also use your older cable usb-a to lightening cable to charge your
phone, it will just charge more slowly. As for the language thing, you need
to keep flicking through the screen until you hear english spoken, and then
double tap the screen and it should be in english. So the phone will just
keep cycling through all the available languages until you double tap the
one that you want. You just keep listening and flicking back and fourth on
the screen until you hear english and then double tap. Then the rest of the
iphone setup will continue. I personally took my phone to my carrier and
had them set it up for me. It was far less stressful for me that way
because they knew exactly what they were doing and had my phone up and
running with all of my information transferred in about 20 minutes.
