The Logitech keyboards I have owned, the USB Dongle was stored by the battery compartment, or inside it next to the batteries.
Checking with Logitech would answer which models have that dongle. The process is, whichever key you are pairing a device to, hold that key down until the keyboard shows up in your bluetooth settings, then double tap it on your device to confirm pairing and release the key. Once it is paired, to switch devices you simply hold that key down for a couple of seconds and it should connect to the other device. So, if the phone is on f2, and the iPad is f3, and you are currently using it on the phone, press f3 for a couple of seconds to connect to the iPad.
