The shear volume of matter would work against you. Gigs and gigs of music
would need rented cloud space,.... at some unknown but not inconsiderable
cost; and take forever to upload. Personally, I prefer to retain
ownership, hwich is to keep it with meon my own hardware. Can't remember
if this is the iOs or Android list; but remember that some or many Android
phones accept sd or msd cards; like floppies! so use those and swap them
about; most good mp3 players do this nowadays.

Ps: Ubidisk and Phone Drive seem to be current quick fix for getting music
on an iDevice without iTunes.

Subject: storeing music in the cloud

Hello everyone,
I have thousands and thousands of songs on my computer and on an external
drive. I have not bought anything from iTunes. They are songs from my CD
collection or songs that I got from youtube and recorded them with total
recorder and then saved them in MP3 files. I would like to store them in
the cloud, but, don't know if they can be stored on iTunes since they
weren't bought from them. I have not used ITunes at all except to check on
a few settings from my iPhone. Is there another service that I can use?
What about the upgraded version of drop box with drop tunes? Does that work
well with jaws, system access, and the iPhone. I don't plan to store any
music on my phone, but, there might be a time, I would like to stream a song
from my collection and listen on my phone.
