| OK, this is very strange. I was just about to write back and confirm your findings. I had my Siri set to Siri Responses, Automatic. I turned off VoiceOver, and asked Siri for the forecast for today, and nothing was spoken. Then, I put it on Siri Responses, prefer spoken responses, and after turning off VoiceOver and asking a similar question, heard nothing. I then went back to automatic responses and tried again without VoiceOver on and it spoke its response. I then switched again to prefer spoken responses and turned VoiceOver off and asked about the NFL game today and it spoke. Conclusion, it is inconsistatt, which is not helpful. But try changing the settings a couple times and see what happens. This a 16 pro running iOS 18.1.1.
