Paying for an Apple News Plus subscription gives you access to far more than just the otherwise blocked articles. You get access to over two hundred magazines. I've enjoyed many here in Canada and I suspect Americans would be given access to even more. There are also puzzles including crosswords, sudoku and another word game whose name escapes me. All of these things are accessible using VoiceOver.
