And just to add to my previous post about Paprika, I assumed when I saw the
link for the Windows version that it was a modern Microsoft Store app, but it
is in fact a desktop app, e.g. it downloads as "PaprikaSetup.msi" this is
similar to an EXE file, but it's referred to as a Windows Installer Package".
The cost is also rather high compared to the iOS version, it is $29.99 US for
the Windows version as opposed to the $4.99 for the iOS version.
There is a trial version so I installed it, but a quick initial check of the
app does not look promising, there are accessible menus, but when I select
Settings > Cloud Sync I was immediately asked to upgrade to the full version
and when I tried to add a new recipe , it did let me give it a title, category
etc., then an "Ingredients" section came up and I was able to copy and paste
from a recipe I had in just a plain Notepad file, then same for the
"Directions" area, but almost at the end it seemed like th eapp either crashed
or closed maybe because I am using the trial and when I reopened the app, it
did not seem like anything had been saved so at this point I am going to give
up on this and wil remove the app again. I must admit that while I do use the
Paprika iOS app, I also still have a lot of recipes in simple Notepad files and
saved in my "Recipes" folder where in turn I have subfolders for "Baking",
"Meals", "Soups" etc. and this allows me to put my wireless keyboard inside a
plastic bag and put it on a container or something on the counter so it's
elevated in case something spills and I can touch it to my heart's content with
dirty hands and it makes no difference.

I usually share recipes that I find online with an app called Plan to Eat.
Strips out all of the extremes as just save the recipe. There is a small fee
for it, but I find it valuable. Hope this helps.

Good morning everyone,

I have a two-part question this morning.

I often find recipes online in various places like recipe sites and Facebook
groups, and I'm looking for a better way to manage them. A long time ago,
there was a cross-platform app that would save recipe information from a URL.
Does anyone know of any current apps that offer similar functionality?

I'm also curious if there are any mailing lists for blind or visually impaired
individuals where people share information about accessible kitchen appliances,
as well as recipes.

Thanks so much,

Joe
