Hi Cheryl and Anna,

The old column browser is still there in iTunes 11, but it is not available
unless you check "Songs". It took me a while to figure it out, too, at first
I had Artists or Albums checked and was wondering why the Volumn Browser in
the View menu was greyed out. Once you check Songs it is available and as in
iTunes 10 you can select what you want in the column browser, e.g. genre,
artist, album etc. I think with the Side Bar visible and by selecting Songs
and enabling the column browser iTunes 11 is as close to the look of iTunes
10 as you get.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hi Cheryl,

You're brilliant! Thanks so much! So simple, but so frustrating until
someone figures it out!

If you check Songs in the group of radio buttons, the songs appear in a
table just as in iTunes 10, so you can get to them quickly by pressing
VO+CMD+T to get there quickly - one press to get to the Sidebar, and a
second to get to the Songs table.

Thanks again,
Anna

instead of arrowing down or tabbing or vo-arrowing. Then vo-right-arrow to
the browser and yo'll see the genres and artists and albums and can narrow
it down by selecting there. Or just keep going to the music table and all
the results of your search will be there and you can hit enter on any one of
them and play it. There are probably quicker ways to get across to the
browser and music table but I haven't worked on that yet.

the browser can be controled in view as it could before but haven't gotten
to that yet either.

button that is supposed to add them to Up Next, but I seem to have to do a
lot of tabbing around to get whatever I searched for to play; pressing
things like Space or Enter don't work. Also, there seems to be no way to
search and then see what I searched for in a list similar to the songs list.
And the search is a lot pickier than in iTunes 10; searching for a word from
the title and a word from the artist doesn't work. Does anyone know of a way
to get the old search functionality back?

iTunes 10, I can play the preview of an individual track, but if I view an
album, so that all the songs are listed, there seems to be no way to play
the preview of an individual track. Does anyone know a way around this?
