You can still use your iPhhone 11 past this upcoming September and I doubt it
will effect your Apple Watch. But I am not 100% certain about using an Apple
Watch which is on the latest update with an iPhone which can't be updated any
more. In any case, you still have at least 6 months to decide what you want to
do and if you are happy with your iPhone 11 I would just try and see what
happens after you upgrade your Apple Watch to the latest OS.

Subject: iPhone 16E: is my assumption correct

Hello list
I currently have an iPhone 11 which I obtained near the end of 2019. If I
understand Apple's software upgrade cycle correctly I think this coming
September with IOS 19 will be my last upgrade for the iPhone 11. Furthermore I
am worried that, should I not go for the iPhone 16E in the near future my Apple
Watch S9 will also stop to function due to the fact that I would not be able to
upgrade the iPhone 11 any further. Are these assumptions valid because spending
that money was not part of my financial planning but if my S9 would become
unusable I'll rather solve the problem now.
Regards
Fanus
