Hi, If you listen to Marco Armond on the Accidental Tech Podcast, he wanted to remove streaming when he rewrote Overcast to be Swift with SwiftUI. The users made him add it back in, but he describes several issues with the streaming model. I personally have had some issues with streamed episodes, where it stops 5 minutes into listening (usually when I start as I leave the house), and then when I play later it does not remember the place I where it stopped. Some issues depend on the advertising flow the podcast has.
