Ugh, since I get my sister a Harlequin Books subscription as she has no internet and very little money, I made the decision to get my brother and his wife iPhone 16s 256 GB earlier this year and of course paying the extra $100 each for that storage. My brother had an iPhone SE 2022 with 64 GB of storage and was getting messages about not being able to update his iPhone, thus the purchases. And now the iPhone 17 starts at the lower price with 256 GB storage, has the slightly bigger screen, has the ProMotion, and has the always on display. But thankfully, they just use their phones for texting and Facebook and browsing the internet and the like and take casual pictures, don't even use Face ID or a passcode, so they likely won't know the difference, grin. As for me for myself, I'm staying away from the pre-orders and waiting for the Walmart Black Friday. And wow, a $300 price gap between the base iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Pro, and I'm not even considering the iPhone Air or the iPhone Pro Max. Vicky Collins USA
