I wonder if the fact that the call is going to voicemail and thus no human on
the line to hear the message about the call being recorded could be the
problem? I don’t know whether the call recording feature is set up to detect
voicemail and other such recordings or not, and since I have both of my E-SIMS
in the same iPhone right now, I can’t really call the voicemail on one of them
to check. Actually, the free cell phone service plan for a year that I got with
the Spectrum internet, it’s only a backup plan, and I mostly keep that SIM
turned off and only use it occasionally, like the other day when my AT&T line
sound got all garbled for some reason. Then I did turn on my Spectrum line and
make a call and it was fine, so I went to the My AT&T app and reset the
network, or whatever they did on their end with the reset they offered, and
then things were fine after I restarted my phone as instructed.

I would suggest that you consider calling Apple Accessibility. I have an SE
2022 and call recording is definitely on my phone. When you’re on a phone call,
you would need to hide the keypad and call recording should be there. I have
used it a couple of times. The recordings come out in the Notes app. The reason
I suggested that you call Apple Accessibility is because some phones may have
it set up in a little different way. Call recording works on any phone that
will run iOS 18.

Well, I finally decided to try playing with recording my husband’s outgoing
message so that I’d have a copy of it if something should happen to my
landline. I called my landline from my IPhone, found the “hide keypad” at the
bottom right, double tapped that, went to the top left and saw “call recording
dimmed.” I waited until the phone was connected, trying to record both when it
was ringing and when The call was picked up. For some reason I can’t get it to
work. I’m sure, knowing my skill level that I’m missing something simple. Any
thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

God bless!
