Thanks much, Richard and Sieghard. I found later, actually, it was Navigation Style that was changed to Group instead of to Flat by mistake. Now it is back to Flat and everything is as usual.

One finger right swipe did not work but left swipe brings it out of the edit field. When my fingertip touches the edit field very lightly, only then it lets it swipe to the right.
