I suggest the person who first asked this question ask it on an Android focused
list or one that is not device specific like the TechTalk list or the
BlindTechies list, where you have both Android and Apple users.
This list is focused on Apple devices, so I do not think you will find very
many Android users who can give you a clear idea.
I've tried Android, I had to teach its basics before I retired from being a
Rehab Instructor, and I far prefer Apple's approach.
But I know blind folks who prefer Android's approach.
If you are Satisfied with Apple's interface, you will find Android quite
different I believe.

You can but it's not the same at all. It's an assistive touch and you have to
activate AssistiveTouch and then activate what you wanted to do such as home or
app switcher or whatever is assigned to that it's not the same at all assigning
a specific home or app swicher gesture is much better.
