I have found that sometimes you have to re-create the conditions in which the volume was lowered before you can fix the problem so for instance, if the volume got lowered while you were using headphones, then you will need to reconnect the headphones and adjust the volume or if the volume was lowered while you were using the phone such as talking to someone, then you will need to make a call and adjust the volume then you just figure out which conditions were present when the volume got lowered in the first place so you'll have to do some experimentation, but after you fix it it should be fine for everything

It is very difficult to give a simple answer to your question.

Are you talking about VoiceOver's volume?  Or, are you talking about different sources?

Theoretically, the iPhone is supposed to remember the volume for earphones and the speaker separately, but that would only apply to one thing, like VoiceOver.

Different sources may have different volumes in themselves.  Some mp3 files are louder than others, for one example.

Subject: Is there a way to not to have to raise the volume every time I use my iPhone?

Hi.

I had this problem on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and it’s still happening on my iPhone Air. Basically, I’m trying to use my iPhone through the earpiece, and the volume is low. I have to raise it so I can hear it. The external speaker is even worse. I can’t really hear it until I crank up the volume.

Is there an easy way to fix this, or is it just as it is.

Thanks in advance for any help.
