It can be done, but if you have passwords in stuff stored in your phone and 
payment information, I don't recommend it. Go to settings go to. Face ID and 
passcode inner in the passcode, and in there, you can go under passcode options 
and click do not use passcode note, if you have Face ID enabled, it does not 
give you this option.
