Keep in mind that WhatsApp on a Windows computer becomes more or less unusable if it updates to the latest version because WhatsApp decided to change it from being a UWP (Universal Windows Platform) app to a web app. Doug Lee has written Jaws scripts which reinstate much of the previous functionality, but you of course would have to know that and download them from www.dlee.org<http://www.dlee.org>.

Either-way, make sure by following these steps: 1. Push windows key to open the start menu and type “store” in the search box. Now hit enter on Microsoft Store. 2. Once the store is open, tab until you hear the screen reader saying, “user profile,” and push down the space bar. 3. Now arrow down as many times as needed to reach the option that reads, “store settings,” and hit enter. 4. At this point, tab a few times to reach the option to verify automatic updates.
