It's disappointing that the owners / moderators of the list are choosing not to enable post approval for new members. It's hard to see how this wouldn't solve the spam messages problem overnight. This is still a great list (I think it's nearly 16 years old!) but the amount of spam is starting to increase which puts the reputation of the list into doubt.
