Hello All;

The subject line pretty well says it all. I live in Northern Wisconsin and
considering getting an AirTag to place on a fence post at the end of my
driveway. If I take a walk to the tavern 200 yards from my home can I rely on
the iPhone/AirTag combination to let me know when I’m approaching my driveway
when returning. I don’t intend to permanently leave the AirTag on the fence
post, but rather place it upon leaving my yard.

My chief concern is brutally cold temperatures and whether or not such frigid
temperatures would adversely compromise the effectiveness of the AirTag. I’m
talking well below freezing (i.e. -5 to 15 degrees). My intention is to place
said AirTag on the fence post encased in protection such as a can from veggies
or fruit.

I’d surely appreciate any advice from anybody familiar with the AirTag.
