I tried both, but Perplexity was more of an instant hit because of the way it automatically offered up the sources from which it pulled its data. Even when you click the Copy button, when you paste the results into a document, it moves over those hyperlinks, which makes it easier to verify its information. I do like Chat GPT's interface better. It feels a bit more blind-friendly, but Perplexity is still more competitive because of the way it works with multiple LLMs under the hood, which is like paying once for several popular options.
