If so, I’m hoping you might be able to help with a question. I’ll try to explain it clearly. I’m finding that more and more people prefer using WhatsApp because it offers more options than standard iMessage or texting. I’m part of a few group chats where a lot of photos and videos get shared, and those automatically save to my WhatsApp album in the Photos app. Since I don’t want most of those, I periodically go through and delete nearly all of them. I also use WhatsApp for more private, one-to-one chats. In addition, some of these same people appear in the Updates tab, where they post Status updates. These feel less like chats and more like things people want all their WhatsApp contacts to see. Often these Status updates include photos with text (quotes, signs, or other written content) that I’d actually like to save and keep. Here’s where I get stuck: When I view a person’s Status, VoiceOver announces it as a button, but I can’t seem to interact with it in a way that lets me save the photo. If it’s an image with text, I’d like to save it so I can use an app like Be My AI to read it. I can reply to the Status, and that reply shows up in the chat thread with that person, but I still can’t access or save the image itself. Am I missing something? Is there a VoiceOver-accessible way to save photos from someone’s WhatsApp Status? Thanks in advance for any insight.
