To unlock an iPhone 17e after turning it on: 1. Press the Side button once if the screen is dark. 2. Put your finger on the bottom of the screen and swipe up with one finger . 3. The phone will ask for your passcode or it will unlock automatically with Face ID if it sees your face. If VoiceOver is on, double-tap after selecting things.
To stop the phone from locking so quickly: 1. Unlock the phone. 2. Find and open Settings . 3. Go to Display & Brightness . 4. Open Auto-Lock . 5. Choose a longer time such as 5 minutes , or choose Never if you don’t want it locking automatically. If you can’t find Settings: • From the Home Screen, swipe left or right until you hear “Settings” , then double-tap it. • Or swipe down from the middle of the screen to open Search , type Settings , and open it. That should fix the problem.
