Hi Group,
I never have problems playing mp3 files on my iPhone SE 2023. I am not
sure what plays them, but if for example, I send an mp3 from my Windows
computer that I want to play on my iPhone via e-mail, as an attachment,
and I open the e-mail and tap the attachment, some sort of player opens
with fully accessible controls and I play it by tapping the play button.

If you use Tunes you could get it jat way, but that gets complicated
because it ends up part of your music library unless you convert it to
m4b.
Voice Dream is one of the better ways to listen to mp3 books.
