I only just received the notification from Apple that my iPhone 18 Pro has shipped, but even with my 16 Pro I echo Richard's points. Siri is fantastic now and while it still gets some things wrong with dictation, I agree that it's better and of course to simply tell Siri to change something is awesome. The other day I sent a text message and when Siri read it back to me I didn't like the way something sounded so I simply told it to replace a couple of words with something else and it did it perfectly. Also, I love the fact that if for example I want to send somebody a phone number or email address and the person whose number or email address I want is in my contacts, I can just pause dictation and then say "Siri, insert the phone number for John Smith into my message (John Smith is of course just an example). The fact is that Siri will look up John Smith and insert his phone number, of course if I had a work and mobile number for him, I'd have to tell Siri to insert his mobile or work number instead of just "number". Another nice new feature is the ability to change system and notification sounds volume independently from ringtone sound volume in Settings > Sounds and Haptics and of course the new image recognition and live recognition rotor items are amazing.

I also have the 18 pro running iOS 27.0.1. I am extremely impressed with the new Siri. If you use a voice command to start Siri, either hey Siri or just Siri, it is more like other AI apps where you can respond to Siri saying things like would you like to know more about this, or that. Using the new Siri AI app is also very effective. The speed of the new phone is very impressive. Dictation is better than it ever has been for me. Do you have all the settings for Siri turned on? Have you rebooted the phone after the initial update? I can understand the dictation errors if you are speaking quickly... Hello everyone. I hope you all are doing well. I am writing really just to complain about some things. But also, to see if anyone else is having similar experiences. I have the 18 pro, running the latest iOS version. Fi First of all, I am not really impressed with iOS 27. I don't see how there were that many changes. Maybe someone else has noticed more than I have, though? What are some things you all like about iOS 27? What are some changes I might be able to make, to find some improvements? Also, I have the new Siri, and I don't think it's much better. It seems like a pain to me. But maybe I am not using it correctly? My biggest complaint, though, is when I use dictation to try and write messages and such. I don't do this in public, mainly when I am at home. I've noticed that sometimes my words are changed up when I dictate something. For example, instead of writing phone, it will write the word bone. Earlier, I was trying to say the word Judaism, and it wrote judo. Then when I tried to fix it, it wrote Buddhism. I know I talk clearly enough. So I'm not sure why these sorts of things keep happening. These are just a few examples. There are more. This used to happen sometimes. But now it seems to be happening more often. What could be causing this? Any thoughts, or suggestions for me would be very much appreciated. And I would love to hear some positive experiences with the upgrade. As well as the new Siri.
