You know, when I first saw this thread, I thought to myself, yes, I agree. For me, the problem is that I use Gemini for almost everything. Unlike Siri, Gemini was built in a multimodal framework. This means that Gemini can process both audio and visual input, simotaneously.
So, with Gemini, I can point my phone at a piece of paper and say to Gemini, "What does this say?" or "Read the major points of this document," and Gemini will do so, instantly. Even in iOS 27, Siri cannot do this. As you all know, in IOS, one has to initiate some kind of command and then have VoiceOver detect and read what it thinks it sees. Then, unlike Gemini, you cannot ask follow-up questions without having to either repeat a wake-up word or pressing a button. So disappointing given that Apple says that Siri is built on Gemini language models. Using Siri feels like work, to me. Using Gemini is like having a real sighted assistant next to me, all the time.
