Hello,

I just wanted to follow up and let everybody know that I figured out what
the problem was. I was looking at a free app and there is no Gift option
for free apps. It is only available for paid apps which of course does make
sense. For paid apps you can double tap on the "Share" button at the top
right of the screen. You will get options such as email, Facebook, Twitter,
copy link and Gift.

Regards,
Sieghard
