Oh so it's option-up or option-down then. So I think it's option-down.
Will have to try on my bt keyboard at some point.

Yes there is. Press vo-s to move to the status bar, then I think it's
either ctrl-up, ctrl-down, command-up or command-down to focus to the
Notification Centre. Sorry for not remembering the exact keystroke! But
