Good advice, I have always done it this way as Nvda with Espeak says them correctly including emphasizing the i.

Pardon me in advance if this post seems somewhat "know-it-all-ish," it
is not intended to be that at all. Here's the point though; although it
doesn't happen so often as several months ago, the Apple "I" devices
have been spelled with the capitalization on the "I" followed by the
remainder of the device type in lower case (Iphone, Ipad, Ipod). They
are correctly spelled with a lower case "I" and the following letter
(typically "P") is in upper case, followed by the remainder of the
device name in lower case alpha again. I only mention this because for
those of us using a screen reader find it much more convenient to
understanda post regarding these iDevices. For example:

iPhone - lower case "i"," upper case "P," and then again lower case "hone."
iPad - lower case "i"," upper case "P," and then again lower case "had."
iPod - lower case "i"," upper case "P," and then again lower case "hod."

And, in fact, the currency identifier from another company follows the
same pattern:
iBill - lower case "i"," upper case "B," and then again lower case "ill."

I usually refer to these in aggregate as "iDevices" (lower case "i","
upper case "D," and then lower case "evices"). It really helps JAWS
read the iDevice type with far more aplomb!

Thank you for your attention!
