Hi Shawn,

On my 4S Voiceover does this also when I am using headphones. Unfortunately
when I am out and about it is not so easy to tap the screen elsewhere and in
any case, even if I do, if I then leave the phone alone and continue on a
long call, Voiceover will eventually lock the screen and then shortly
afterwards it will continue reading the time every 20 seconds. It is
currently below 0 degrees here and by that I mean Fahrenheitt, in Celsius
it's around -20 and my phone is usually in my belt holster under my down
jacket so as I said, this bug is a major pain in the neck and if you
experience it, Shawn, I really would encourage you to write to
[email protected]. I really don't understand why they can't shut up
Voiceover during an active call and by that I also mean to prevent Voiceover
from reading text messages or push notifications which come in during a
call.

Regards,

Sieghard

Subject: voice over on a call

Hello,

when on a call and using speaker phone. Voice over periodically reads the
phone number or date, is there any way to turn this off or silence it?

Thanks,
