In the winter I try to keep my phone in an inside shirt pocket so it's better protected then if it were in my pants pocket and I too use a bluetooth ear peace. In fact, it's in my ear from when I get dressed in the morning to when I go to bed. I don't like not having the use of both my hands plus I don't like holding a phone to my ear when I don't have to. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chuck Dean" <[email protected]>

Hi Shawn,
I have the same problem while riding my bike with a blue tooth
headset.

Before I put the phone away, I do a three finger double tap on the
screen to turn voice over off.
I can answer and end calls via the headset, so there is no need to dig
out my phone.

Works for me.

Chuck

Hello,

when on a call and using speaker phone. Voice over periodically reads the phone number or date, is there any way to turn this off or silence it?

Thanks,
