I have a similar arrangement. I have a bluetooth device that picks up signals from the iphone and sends them to my hearing aids. I can listen to both iphone output and the hearing aid microphones pick up surrounding sounds at the same time. The only time my iphone starts talking out loud is if I set the iphone down and walk more than about 30 feet away from it or if the bluetooth device's battery runs down. Make sure your bluetooth device is charged before using it with the iphone and you should have no problems. I have an external battery pack than can charge both the iphone and the bluetooth device if I'm going to be using both for more than 6 or 8 hours non stop. Tony _____

Hi all. I am using a motorola hx550 headset (one ear). I really like it. However, in church and other really public situations where interruptions wouldn't be appropriate, I am still using my iPhone earpods. i would like to go completely bluetooth but I am wondering about the following: (1) Is it likely that the bluetooth might go down in the middle of something so that I would suddenly find my iPhone talking for everybody to hear? (2) If the bluetooth headset is hanging on my ear instead of being in my ear (I have choices with this headset), is it likely that people sitting near me would hear it and be distracted. I would be in airplane mode with bluetooth on and would have notifications in locked screen turned off plus the mute button would be engaged. But I would be taking notes and using my bluetooth headset to hear what I am writing. -- Cheryl May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
