I don't see the original question in the attached thread, but sometimes
the "@" symbol is on the normal keyboard just to the right of the space
key. This is true if you're being asked for an email address or a user
ID that's made up of an email address.

Sorry if I'm not answering the original question, but I'd suggest
threads not be trimmed so people coming in late to a thread can see the
whole discussion and the original question.
