Hi,

if I want to send a tweet, the twitterapp is in landscape-mode. Sms and mail are in portrait-mode. Am I doing something wrong?

Subject: BrailleTouch - a tip for using the menu and finding the Clear Text button

Hi everyone,

I recommend flicking left and right to navigate through the BrailleTouch
menu. There are some items that do not fit on the screen in the menu, so
flicking will get you through all of them. (The menu is a Picker, which
is the same widget used in other apps such as setting alarm in the
iPhone clock app.)

The Clear Text button is near the bottom of the menu. This will erase
everything you have typed.

The Start Typing or Resume Typing button is always anchored to the
bottom of the screen. You can tap the bottom of the screen to jump to
this button at the end of the menu choices. From there you can then
flick to menu items that are further down the list such as Clear Text.
This might save people some time.

The text you typed is always anchored near the top of the screen on the
menu. You can tap this again to repeat the full text that you typed.

In the full version of BrailleTouch, the menu order is: Copy to
Clipboard, Paste from Clipboard, Send Text Message, Send Tweet, Set
Email Subject, Send Email, Clear Text, Help. Each of these choices is
only on the menu list if it is a relevant action at that time.

I hope this helps.

I think both methods work, place a finger in the right area, once you know
that; then flick either way to hit it right on.

I think you will find in any case where sliding your finger doesn't get what
you want, flicking will. The advantage to flicking is that it jumps from
item to item and skips the dead space.
Sometimes the buttons are physically very small and it is easy to slide
right by them.

Glad you found it.

Found It. I have a tendency to not use the flick method, but just run my
finger over the screen to find what I want. That usually works. When I
flicked, it was there, and finally appeared when I ran my finger over the
screen. Don't know where it was hiding before that..

Thanks.

Karen,
If you want to delete everything on the screen, flick to the left with two fingers to bring up the menu. Then flick through. There is a delete all in
the menu.

I'm really impressed with this app.

Is there a way to clear all text without having to delete letter by
letter? I was searching for something like a clear text button, and
didn't find one.
