Hi there. Winterboard is the manager of theming your phone. It's far
more than a visual thing. For example, I usually get Star Trek themes.
This makes customizations to not only the background and icons, which
are totally visual, but also changes the keyboard click sound to that
one they use in Star Trek when they use the computer or type in their
pads. It changes the slide to unlock on the lock screen to Energize. It
changes the 6 sms tones to specific Star Trek sounds. While it's true
that you can add your own sms tones since iOS 5, this feature was long
available since way before that feature, and is still widely used.
That's just a little of what Winterboard does.
PS, from that list I just purchased the Pin program which intelligently
disables your pin code. For example if you are charging your phone, or
if you are on yown own wi-fi network. That way your phone doesn't have
the security pin while you are at home if you want, but does when you
are out and about.

at a time for most things, so it's no issue. I've written to the Winterboard
developer to see if he can fix this. In any case. Check this out, and find
out some of the cool things you can do with your jailbroken iPhone. Remember
that jailbreaking isn't for everyone. Remember that it's not illegal. Remember
that jailbreaking isn't the same thing as unlocking. And most importantly,
remember that jailbreaking won't make you go blind or send you to hell.
