Thanks, Reggie.

If you or anyone else experiences an issue where BrailleTouch does not clear the previous text when it should, or the double pasting issue, please let me know directly at [email protected]

We have a solution for the portrait orientation issue on the text message and email screens that we are currently working on. This will be in the first update to the software, coming soon.

I can't tell all of you how much I appreciate all the valuable feedback I have gotten from each of you, both on and off list. This helps me a great deal, and you are helping to make BrailleTouch an even better app in the future.

Thanks so much!
Best,
Caleb

So far I am not having a problem again, Caleb. Thanks for the answer. Is the
screen@ supposed to go back to portrait when sending a text? Just love app.
Wish I could stop it being sluggish, though. I even tried turning off and on
the phone, to no avail! Only thing left to try is the home/sleep/wake button
reset, and I don't want to do unless absolutely necessary. I also do not want
to reset my phone! Oh horrors, once was enough!

Hi everyone,

This is what is supposed to happen in BrailleTouch in regard to clearing the
text out of the buffer. When you select Copy, send a text message, send a
tweet, set the email subject, or send an email, then the text should be cleared
when you go back to the braille keyboard screen. If you go to a text message,
email, or tweet screen and then hit cancel instead of send, the text will
remain and not be cleared.

I'm still testing for any problems where the text does not get cleared when it
is supposed to be. I have not yet been able to reproduce this yet myself. I'm
very sorry some people are having problems with double pasting or the text not
clearing when it should. If anyone is still experiencing a problem with this,
please contact me directly at [email protected].

Thanks,
Caleb

Ok, I checked this. Copy to clipboard definitely clears the text to
clipboard. Tuyping and closing with Home leaves it in memory, text and all.
Not tried variations of messaging, but closing out the app switcher also
loses the text. This is probably true for most apps, but like to know the
parameters we're working with so we can work With them.

Well if you close down BrailleTouch the text is definitely cleared. I
assume the text is held in some part of the device's Ram for quick
retrieval.

The pasting thing is an ambiguity, about whether the buffer does or
doesn't
clear after using the text. Sometimes it does and sometimes not, I think
it
depends whether you copy to clipboard, in which case it does since you can
then paste from clipboard if you want it back. Or whether you use any of
the messaging apps, in which case, I think the text stays, so you have to
consciously clear text before you continue.

I've not checked all the permutations, I know these are the sort of
things
I found.

Thanks Reggie and Carol.

We will fix the portrait issue on the message screen in the next update.

If anyone else is experiencing the double pasting issue, please email
directly at [email protected]. I have not personally observed
this, but I will keep testing for it.

Thanks!

Trying to figure out what happeneD. I text to very few people. The
first Time I texted when i went to send it turned to portrait. I
could easily put in the info. This time it went into landscape, but I
could never find what I needed to send. Also, are we supposed to
clear the screen each time we do something? Two times now I have put
something on the clipboard and pasted it in an email or in this case
a message and when done pasting and checking for mistakes and it
added on what I had written previously. Are these normal behaviors? I
will keep an eye on on both these things, but wanted to see if
anyone else has seen either of these things. Still think the app is
great!
