Apple has done a very good job of tracking multi-touch command entry. It is as accurate as keyboard entry on a computer. Therefore, any time a command is being misinterpreted, I ask myself how am I changing the gesture in order to make it appear like another gesture - like pressing x instead of c on a keyboard. The buttons are next to each other, but the effect of one is quite different from the effect of the other.
