Hi,

I believe this may be a problem with your headset. I think I read somewhere
that some headsets have a feature where they basically use the microphone to
play back what they pick up in your surroundings so you can hear what is
going on around you while you wear the headset. I don't know if this is your
problem but it might be and you may want to check your headphone's user
manual to see if there is such a setting and then disable it to see if that
fixes your problem.

Subject: Re: Strange problem with bluetooth headset

Hi all,

Finally, I was able to diagnose the problem with my Jabra Extreme 2 and my
iPhone 5. My original problem was when I connect the Jabra Extreme 2 to my
iPhone, when I call any phone number, I listen to myself through the Jabra's
microphone. In this case, I am listening to the environment around me,
including my own voice. I couldn't listen to the other party on the phone,
although he can listen to my voice properly. Jabra's Microphone works
instead of the phone device which is supposed to be connected to the
bluetooth.

The source of this problem is VoiceOver. When I completely remove VoiceOver
from the iPhone memory, this problem with Jabra Extreme
2 no longer exists. In other words, If I turn VoiceOver off using the
3-time button prress, and then call any number, I can listen to the phone
call properly. The same situation was replicated with one of my friends,
who has another Bluetooth headset called:
PLT_A170.

So, How can I reach Apple technical support to fix this problem with our
iPhone 5 units and Jabra extreme 2?

Your help is highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Best Regards

You can't remove the iPhone battery.

There is a simple process on my motorola HX550 for returning the headset to
factory settings and then it goes back to pairing mode.
Also you can go into bluetooth on the iPhone and tell it to forget your
bluetooth device. But this hasn't solved my problem. I did learn that people
can hear me if this happens so if I remain calm I can close the boom on my
headset and reopen it and this stops the strange behavior though it isn't
optimal. Somehow i think it has something to do with airplay which I see
selected in my app switcher but I could be wrong about this.

call goes through but I hear my own environment; for instance if I have an
audiobook playing I'll hear that right through my headset instead of the
call. Any idea what could be triggering this?
